Introduction to the Business Model Canvas

The book Business Model Generation by Alexander Osterwalder & Yves Pigneur describes a visual method of developing business models. It is based on a business model canvas that lays out different parts of the model in a specific layout. The same layout can be used to represent a huge variety of business models and makes comparison of different models much easier than a text-only description. The ease of comparison of different models makes it suitable for developing and discussing new business models. (The canvases here are generated using DITA but other sources can be used.)
